NEW!Naked Basics Palette 1 Palette
$27.00
Urban Decay's best-selling Naked and Naked2 palettes are proof that neutrals can be anything but boring. They've reinvented the neutral eye yet again with Naked Basics. Fans begged UD for an all-matte palette of neutral Eyeshadows, and this sleek palette answers the call! You get six must-have shades for the perfect neutral, matte eye- including four totally new shades, one previously only available in another palette and one all-time staff favorite. These uber-wearable shades look great on literally everyone. Wear them on their own for beautifully neutral eyes- you've got everything you need to contour, line and highlight to create just the right amount of definition. These shades are richer than other mattes, and the color goes on beautifully (never chalky or powdery). There's also one demi-matte shade, Venus, which has just the right touch of satin to give your eyes more dimension. For a more bold look, use Naked Basics as base shades to pair with your favorite bright shadow shades. UD co-founder Wende loves to use this palette to contour and define her eyes and then add a bright pop of color for extra drama. Each Eyeshadow features Urban Decay's brand new Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability. The sleek metallic case is embossed with the word Naked and will look beautiful coming out of your bag. If you've been holding out for a matte neutral palette, now's the time to get Naked! I should start this review by saying that I absolutely love the original Naked palette, didn't care for Naked 2 (too cool for my medium/tan olive coloring), and have a strong preference for matte or light shimmer shadows in general. While I was a bit reluctant to give this palette a try (how many versions of the original Naked can Urban Decay concoct, after all?), I admit that I really do like this product. I tested it out yesterday by creating a pretty basic daytime look: Naked 2 on the lid, Faint in the crease, the (surprisingly lovely) demi-matte Venus as a highlighter on the brow bone, and a little bit more Faint to line the lower lashes. I was impressed not only with the user-friendly color range but the blendability of the shadows, and find that this palette lends itself to everything from a "no-makeup" look to a major smokey eye. I was prepared to send this one back if I didn't love it a solid 100%, but it's with me for good. The size and composition of this palette definitely lends itself to travel and/or everyday use, and the price is very fair, given its versatility and quality. It certainly represents an improvement on the majority of the higher-priced palettes that I have found.

I love makeup and I really love Urban Decay. I have to say I am so terribly disappointed with the Naked Basics Palette. The colors are boring--even for a day look. I feel like I have to use a ton of color on my brush to get it to even show up. I've seen people who have worn the Basics Palette and it's looked great, maybe they're using a particular combination within the palette that I don't know about. I can see this sitting in my makeup drawer, unused for a long time.

Comments about Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, 1 Palette:
This silky, matte, non-glittery shadow kit enables you to bring out the best of your eyes. You can reshape them, conceal flaws, and highlight your assets with the natural flesh colors in this palette, and you won't look like you have any shadow on!
The lightest shade makes your eyes pop and the darkest shade makes a dramatic liner. I used to dread having to apply eye shadow, but I now gladly use this kit every day! If I want to wear a brightly colored shadow, I'll just add it after I "prepare" my eyes with the neutrals in this kit. The shadow stays all day and I don't have to worry about embarrassing glitter specs on my face!
You need to purchase your own properly shaped brushes to achieve the maximum benefit of this natural palette. Urban Decay made me a believer!

Comments about Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, 1 Palette:
Makes my eyes look good without any sparkle or glitter or bright colors. Very appropriate and professional looking for work. I have tried using the really dark color as a liner and don't really feel that it lasts well as a liner. I do use a very tiny bit of the darkest brown deep in the crease and then blend it to give my eyes better definition. I use all the colors except "foxy" which is a little too yellow looking for me. This palette is a must-have!

Comments about Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, 1 Palette:
It's almost impossible to find matte eye shadow in a multi-pack, but this is it. No annoying mica/glitter specks, and not drying like most matte shadows. The lightest of the 6 shades has a glossy finish to it, but without mica flecks. This would be best used for highlighting.
Since all the colors are neutral and natural, your eyes get definition and pop without color that clashes or grabs attention. You can always add your own bright color shadow from another palette if you want. This is definitely a gotta have it every day palette!
