I'm very pale and I prefer to wear things that don't make me look like a clown. This fit the bill. If you only put on one application it leaves a nice, "just ate a berry" stain that's pretty and natural looking. If you go for a second application after the 1st dries it's a little more intense, maybe if you want a little more oomph for a night out or something. This is only in the lighter red "Envy" shade. I will say, I also own the darker red and don't care for it. It's far to intense for my pale complexion and I look a little overdone when wearing it.
The only drawback I've noticed is that it doesn't seem to last very long. I tend to put it on in the morning, let it dry, then put on some lip balm because otherwise it feels a little dry. About 2 hours later, it's mostly gone leaving only a hint of color. I'd expect a stain to hold up a little better than that and it doesn't do well when you're eating/drinking at all.

The bottle was hard to close properly, or else it just started leaking over time. The color was super bright and hard to apply evenly. It was extremely drying, made my lips shrivel up basically. not flattering.

I had high hopes for this product but should have trusted the other reviews prior to purchasing. The color was yuck. One application was very faint, but two made me look like a clown. It did not go on evenly, so it looked splotchy. I wore it under UD gloss, so there was little drying. After one meal it was gone. :(

This is the greatest lip stain I have ever tried, and I have tried quite a few. The colors are great - Jealous is so awesome for me, I have auburn hair, very fair skin - and Jealous looks like my lips but better with one coat. Very nice with two coats. I find the stain does last a good 4 - 6 hours under gloss and this is with me being a smoker and major coffee drinker. Nothing comes off, it looks very natural. Would give 10 stars if I could. This has went to the top of my must have beauty staples.

Love this lip stain. I have tried lots of stains including Benetint and Vincent Longo Lip and Cheek Stain and I like this the best. I put it on, leave it to dry for about 30 seconds then put on a sheer gloss. I found the Benetint to be pretty dry and hard to apply with the brush. The Vincent Longo stuff just ended up accentuating the lines on my lips. I like this stuff because it's a little thicker - like a gel and goes on smoothly without showing lines. I like the Envious color because you can put a lightly colored lip gloss over it and make it lighter or darker.

First of all, let me explain that I am a huge fan of lip stain. I don't have time to blob on goo every two hours.
I am a fair redhead, and this shade doesn't even show up on me. I would advise getting their Greedy color instead. Yes, it is darker. But... it is a GREAT base, and stays on for a long time (i.e. at least six hours). Depending on your mood/outfit, you can overlay with a long-lasting lipstick like DuWop AntiVenom or Venom lipstick, and your lips have depth of color, and when the lipstick itself wears off you still have the stain without looking all washed out or wasted.

I did like fact it was thin and had a nice sheer tint. However, it never seemed to dry. Always a bit tacky or sticky. Color had no real lasting effect. Sure you could eat a meal and not leave your water glass coated... but you'll still have to reapply very soon.

This "lip stain" as they call it just plain sucks. The color is nice but, it takes 3 coats to make it appear and it won't last 2 hours. It is so not worth it. If you are looking for a lip stain go for MAC Prolong Wear. That will stay on for 6 hours or more and worth evey penny!!
I am not impressed with any Urban Decay products except for their eyeshadow primer potion. Now that works great, and your eyeshadow will stay put.
Save your money, don't buy.

This was a pretty color, but the formula Urban Decay uses for these stains is not really like a traditional stain. It is sheer and goes on cool, but it never quite "sets" the way Vincent Longo's does. Therefore, it doesn't last as long as I was hoping. The wand is shorter and nice to handle - easy to control. I didn't like that there seemed to be some ingredient that made my lips tingle after the initial cooling sensation. It felt like a very very slight burn. It didn't hurt at all, but it was kind of annoying. If you like Lip Venom then this would probably be a positive for you, but I really dislike the feel.
