I got a free sample of this product and was so excited to try it!! I saw on the package that it's "Cruelty Free"... I read the ingredients and in my free eyeliner, it listed the ingredient "Carmine"... anyone who cares about animals knows that this is obtained by killing the species Cochineal and /or Polish Cochineal. I'm sorry but that does not sound very "Cruelty Free" to me... Apparently you can kill for ingredients, just not 'test on animals' in order to get that on your packaging. This is not something I'd ever buy and I'm never buying Urban Decay products again (unless they change their ingredients!!)

tried it on my hand in the store and it looked amazing! loved the color, loved the glitter, loved how easily it applied. then i used the one i bought on my eyes and it was much harder to apply (went on too faintly). if you wait a minute between coats you can get a nice color out of it.

Glides on easily and has a nice metallic glitter in it. The color 1999 really isn't dark enough though. Looks nice on bottom lashes, but can't see it that well behind the mascara on top lid. The color swatch on this website is off. It's darker than the picture here and also has some glitter in it, which I wasn't expecting.

Color is pretty, but has no staying power and goes on very lightly, almost like an accent color. Very soft product, needs to be sharpened after each use for a nice tip, consequently you go through product quite fast.
