I actually bought this on a whim, and I am SOOO glad I did! It is the softest brush I have ever encountered, and it brushes on anything from liquid foundation, to blushes and powders leaving a flawless finish. I actually bought this specifically for applying Make Up Forever's Face and Body foundation, which I use this brush to buff it into my skin, and it works beautifully. It also applies my powders so perfectly, it seems to leave an airbrush type of finish. I do not use powder/mineral foundations anymore, but I could definitely see how this brush is an absolute MUST for powder foundation users-this will give their make up the greatest finish ever! The only downside I have found about this brush is that it does take a good day or two (usually 2 days for me) to completely dry after it has been cleaned. I wouldn't blow dry it because that would dry out the hairs a lot and make them stiff, so letting it dry naturally is definitely the way to go. Just be aware that when you do wash it, have a back up to use while it is drying. For foundations, you'd probably want to wash it after every use, and for powder foundations, probably once every 2 weeks. This brush is absolutely worth it and a great investment as it improves the application of your make up which in turn, improves the look and finish of your make up. I would definitely recommend!!

I was expecting a much smaller brush for travel and touch ups. This brush is BIG so you end up getting too much powder and it is hard to maneuver the angles of the face with such a big brush. However, the brush is soft, well made and cruelty free. I also like that it has a cap that makes it easy for travel. I hope they expand their brush line, as I will be the first in line!

Comments about Too Faced Retractable Kabuki Brush, 1 ea:
The reviews are true -- finally a retractable kabuki brush that is truly functional as a portable item and every bit as good as the brush on your make-up counter at home. The bristles are soft, the design is easy to use, and the retraction mechanism is strudy.
I honestly can't find a flaw with this one. You can use it for any powder -- translucent, bronzer, mineral makeup, etc.
If I had to find a problem, it is that unlike MFE's kabuki brush, I wouldn't use this for liquid and powder make up. Honestly, it MIGHT work for that. But I'm not sure and I don't want to ruin it by trying.

I love that this is a compassionate product-that was a huge selling point for me (as my dog was rescued from laboratory testing). To top it off, the brush gives really great coverage for the mineral makeup I use and is so portable. Love it!

Comments about Too Faced Retractable Kabuki Brush, 1 ea:
The best brush I have ever bought for any purpose BY FAR! I was dubious about paying [$] for a travel brush, but I decided to go for it. What I received was a brush I love so much that I use it at home now too! It applies my mineral powder foundation very softly, easily and consistently - without removing any of the liquid foundation I wear underneath the powder. Why all the foundation? It's because I have rosacea. So using a good brush is a must for me. I love the way it is enclosed in a cover for travel and it's not so small that it's a pain to use when you're on the road. (I don't understand the reviews saying this is too big; it is just perfect! It is NOT oversized.) I just can't say enough good things about this brush.

Comments about Too Faced Retractable Kabuki Brush, 1 ea:
Great brush after I received the second one. The first one was not glued together well and was in multiple pieces. It was very nice but larger than I thought. The brush is not retractable but has a retractable cover that slides up and down. So it is bit longer than I though it would be. Brush is narrow. Nice for travel but I LOVE my MAC Kabuki brush better!

I really love this brush, it has lasted so long and it is cruelty free. I bought a brush from an expensive beauty chain and actually develped hives. I learned that it was made from raccoon hair. Somehow I doubt that they are shaving raccoons get the hair to make these brushes so I decided that I NEED a synthetic. This is THE answer. It is the softest brush I have ever used and does not weigh on my conscience. I will not use anything else.
