Comments about The Art of Shaving Alum Block, Unscented, 1 ea:
I bought this product about 10 years ago and while it has worn away some, there is still plenty to go! I use it as directed--just hold it under cold running water for several seconds, then rub it across your face. It will get a bit dry, and you just turn it over and continue. I hold it on a cut for several seconds. It is very cooling and soothing for those times you wind up getting a rough shave, such as if you rushed it and didn't prep very well. It is very effective on cuts, I will say that!!! And it has an antiseptic property that I think is protective if you've had a cut. Try not to get any on your lips as it has an odd, bitter taste, but that is the only downside to this product. Comes in its own plastic box so it is easy to store and get to. I don't use it every day, perhaps that is why it has lasted so long. I wouldn't be without one, though.
