Put on lip tint the same way you would gloss?just be careful not to color outside the lines! Wait about 15 seconds for it to set, and then apply gloss. Reapply gloss throughout the day as needed. |

Love this product... Received a sample and I am totally hooked... Natural pink shade which is idea for anytime day or night... Gives your lips a very natural look. I read other reviews on product but I have not had any of those issues .. Easy application of stain and gloss.. Not to shiny and last a really long time. Stain last all day and that includes eating and drinking, apply a touch of the gloss and its like just putting it on for the first time..

I received the pink color of this product in a sample promotion. Initially I thought it was a bit too pink, but decided it left a pleasant stain on my lips all day (yes all day) and just had to apply gloss a few extra times. I just ordered Rise & Shine in two extra colors. Not sure why others reviewed so negatively, but I liked the product a lot. Most stains do not last, but this one did for me.

I'm fairly savvy when it comes to make up and application, but this product, while a pretty color, is not at all what I expected. Applying it is difficult, even after doing a lip exfoliation, because it likes to go on deeper in certain areas, leaving an uneven effect that is unattractive. I really have to work to smooth it out, and a little of this stuff goes a long way...don't overdo or you will have a sticky mouth and have to start all over.
I've used other drugstore products that go on evenly, last a long, long time, provide better moisturizing for my lips, and cost a lot less.
I really wanted this to work for me but it just doesn't. I wish I had saved the cash I invested.

The tarte rise and shine works better than k-mart level lip stains, such as almay and revlon, but will dry out your lips if you do not use a good lip balm after the stain sets in (about 2 minutes after application). I liked this stain because it is thin and non-goopy, transluscent (it does not appear thick and unnatural on one's lips as it allows your natural color to come through the stain somewhat) and it complements my medium skin. The lip gloss I use only if I forget to bring my Burt's Beeswax lip balm with me. It is VERY SHINY! I am not too into SHINY, so I tend to stick with Burt's when I can as a sealer for the stain/lip conditioner.
