Both the nectar stain and the gloss are really beautiful colors. I have a medium warm complexion and dark blonde hair (although graying a bit). Bright apricots are very nice for my coloring and this color is perfect. I like the gloss because it does not look too slick or shiny like some glosses. Both the gloss and the stain are long wearing.

I just bought this and was very hesitant due to the price but I wanted a lipstain and the Revlon and Covergirl did not cut it. This is fantastic. I LOVE the smell, it is so sweet almost like vanilla cupcake. The stain applied easily and the gloss has a tint to it which I love. You can apply both seperately or together. The color is not as bright as it appears, it is more subdude, whichis great for me because I work with children and would love to wear this everyday. But it is also very wearable for evening and or special occasions. I have fair skiin with dark hair and dark eyes and it suits me just fine. I recommend spending the [$]!

I do like the color and the gloss is great. When I apply this, I only use a single application because I end up with orange lips if I apply it more than once. So one swipe and I am ready to go. I am thinking I want to try different colors. I will read more reviews.

Long-lasting lipcolor in perfect packaging. I apply the stain, wait for it to dry, then apply the gloss, which seems to seal the color and add moisture and shine. The stain has a delicious vanilla smell. It's very gentle. This product makes my lips soft and look healthy. It's my very favorite lip stain. The best thing, for me, is that it's available in a peach color. So many other cheek stains come only in berry or rose colors, which make me look like I have liver failure. The peach color is perfect for my skin color, red hair, and green eyes.

This is a nice color--a warm pink, not a pink-pink. Maybe a touch of apricot in there.

The sponge-tipped applicator makes it easy to apply. The gloss/plumper is a part of the whole, so it is convenient.

There is no transfer from the stain, but a very slight transfer from the gloss, as it is tinted to match the stain. The tranfer from it is *very* light--nothing to worry about.

Came off easily with soap and water when I was tired of it, too.

I'm a huge fan of stains. My favorite was a stain that Philosophy discontinued. I also love Vincent Longo's stains- but all of their colors are a little too dark. I bought three different Tarte rise and shine stains - "Nectar" is by far my favorite color.
It looked a little orange-y in the tube, but I was surprised, when I put it on- it gave me a nice, healthy, light tint that lasted most of the morning. The gloss is mildly plumping and oddly, numbing- like your rubbed Anbesol on your lips or something. I prefer to put my favorite lip balm over the stain instead.
My skin tone is fair with yellow undertones, my lips tend to look sallow in the winter- this is the perfect fix.
Oh- and you have to put it on very clean lips (no balms, oils or plumpers!!!) if you want it to last.

I threw it in my bag, to have on hand. I chose a color that was a bit too orange-y for me, but I like the applicator, etc. If I had a daughter, I'd give it to her - I think young girls would love it. It does have a little bit of a 'sting' to it -the plumper agent- I don't mind it at all, but some might.
