I am fairly white and it has always been hard to find a face powder that gives medium coverage without making me look like a ghost or like I have nothing on at all (translucent). Also I have oily/combination skin, translated oily in spots but can be dry in others. This can make many of the powders/foundations separate or slip by the end of the day where when I started out they looked flawless. This stuff never seems to separate, irritate, sink in to lines or look/feel to heavy but it actually covers the light scaring I have pretty well. That is why I think it works with dry to oily skin of all ages. I put this on once then I get rid of excess oil throughout the day with Urban Decay De-Slick which I recommend everyone try.
