While the makers of this product touts the absence of parabens, etc., they forget to mention that it has dimethicone, a synthetic emollient known to be a tumor promoter and accumulates in the liver and lymph nodes. It is also nonbiodegradable causing negative environmental impact. If anyone wants to research dimethicone, please do not search from a website funded by the Rockefellers who also happen to fund the American Medical Association. I usually run away from products stamped FDA approved. The FDA is a rogue organization. Back to the lipstick, it is moisturizing, but does not last as long as I expected from my reading the reviews. I also wonder if the sweet taste is from aspartame. The color selection is all right. I purchased four of them, and into the trash bin they go after I discovered the dimethicone.

I purchased a V. Longo stain at the same time as Tarte, the Longo stain arrived first . Couldn't wait to try it. After all the hype in the fashion mags I was really expecting a great product. NOT !! Very thin solution that dried my lips, then glued them together. Next day the Tarte stain came , I was plesantly suprised with the emoliant nature of this stain. The giant crayola shape makes application a snap.The color was perfect for me and I think all but the darkest complected could use this color (Envy). It has the feel of a lip treatment but stains quite well.

This is a beautiful lip stain. I didn't want anything with gloss or sparkles, just simple, natural-looking color. The color is true to what is shown. The product glides on easily, and there's a grace period where you can smudge it into the skin of your lips, or remove a little so it's more subtle. Once it dries, it's there all day. I already plan to buy other colors in the same line.

This lip stain is great....the color is subtle, but pretty. It feels a bit medicinal, in a soothing way, and tastes good.
