I wasn't too sure about this set - hesitated in buying it - but I am SO glad that I did. The online picture does not do the colors justice - they are absolutely beautiful in person - and the set is much larger than I thought it would be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone or to purchase it again myself - great set.

I tend to be very natural with my makeup, even for going out the most I'll usually do is mascara. So I was hesitant to buy this palette, even though the Tarte palette I bought back in 2004 was my go-to for eons until I used up most of my favorite colors. The brushes it comes with and the liners are high quality, and it comes with instructions for different shade palettes for both evening and day looks. As for the eye liner, because it stays on pretty well if you shower be prepared to do some extra work (face washing/makeup remover) to get rid of the liner. But back to the palette itself-- the light colors are wonderful, and the darker colors work well...for those of you who don't normally wear darker shades and smokey eye shadows, I would say to try out different things at home, see how it "wears" on you and if you like it. And don't be afraid to try out things on your own as far as combinations go. I tried the bronze (inbetween the two browner colors) with the light purple shimmery eye shadow, and it made my eyes pop. Recommended pairing: perfect whirled cheek stain, and park ave princess bronzer (whether for the summer look, or an evening look!)

Maybe I just like to wear my eye makeup too light, but I found that the darker colors did not blend very well, especially with the supplied brush, which seems like a really high-quality brush. I had a hard time applying the darker colors with a light hand. Now, having said that, I loved the effect and would notice at times throughout the day how much I liked the look better than I do with some of my other products. Maybe if you are very skilled with applying makeup, you'd enjoy this. I enjoy makeup, but I like a natural look most of the time. Lots of great colors.

I am so happy that I picked up this pallet. I have never used Tarte before. Now I am SOOO glad that I did.
If you have not picked up yours, you should. The colors are beautiful and will work at any age. You can create a day look and then turn around and make it into a night look.
The shadows are hightly pigminted so they are a dream to work with ! This pallet even comes with cards to tell you how to create a beautiful day look and then with the same color line make it a night look.
Such a good deal. This would be a perfect gift for someone this christmas.

This Palette is divine! The pigmentation of the eye shadows is such high quality. The light shades are perfect for daytime and the darker shades are perfect when you want a little more drama! The brush that comes with the palette is great - perfect for applying eyeshadow on one side and smudging on the other. I have added it to my daily eyeshadow routine. Not to mention the packaging is very chic and fun and the eyeliner included is nice too!
