This eyeliner stays in place through everything!! However it does dry quickly and really doesn't give the smokey look. I'm able to create a thin line for my bottom lashes and a thicker line for the top and it blends into the lash line well. Stila recommends their #28 brush however I purchased the JAPONESQUE Touch Up Tube in Animal Print and received 5 brushes that include the liner and smudge brush for less than the Stila smudge brush alone. Be aware that the Black Cat has glitter in it if you are looking for just a black liner.
All in all this is a great eye liner!

i love this smudge pot. It really does go one well and lasts a long time. It's easy to use and can be worn in so many ways. The only advice I would give is for those of you who wear contacts-- this may be obvious, but be sure to remove your contacts before taking off your eye makeup/showering! I sometimes forget to take out my contacts beforehand and if the smudge pot gets on them it will not come off, making for painful contact use. But I am used to it now, and I really do love the product so much!

Love the smudge pot liners. They go on effortlessly and last all day until you remove it with makeup remover. The sparkles in the black cat and little black dress are not that glitzy. I can wear these liners to work without looking dramatc or overly made up. I have 4 colors and love them all.

This is a really great product that I have in nearly every shade, but the Black Cat is my favorite. You can't see from the description, but it has just the slightest bit of sparkle in with the black; it's not really very noticeable when on, but it's just enough to give it more dimension than a flat black. I'm very fair, and I still enjoy wearing this liner nearly every day!
