Best Uses

?..very, very powdery, almost chalky. This is what lots of people hate about mattes. I have purchased Stila shadows many times before this palette, and I'm frankly shocked and disappointed. Given the attention paid to the compacts in this series, gorgeous metallics with sleek embossed logo, I expected a very luxe gift item. I doubt she'll continue to wear this, the powder starts coming off into the eye right away. Payoff is poor. I usually think it is good for a day look to build, instead of a super pigmented start that requires blending away, but this was a joke. The dryness accentuates any dryness or imperfections, even with a good priming base. I have to admit it doesn't last long either. That said, it is beautiful, the colors are interesting, but you'll need patience and an awesome primer. At this price, though, I feel better options are out there.
