I love this line. I started with a travel kit to try it out (it is so expensive I wanted to be sure...). Didn't love the creme cleanser or the sunscreen/moisturizer (smelled too much like sunscreen), but the pads/serum/a bomb combo works wonders for me. After 10+ years on the pill I decided to get off and my skin just went bonkers with the hormonal shift, this is the only thing I have found that helps me combat my relapse into teenage skin problems. Only con is the price, but frankly I don't even care anymore I'm so addicted.

I first tried this product while getting a facial at a spa in MA. My skin felt toned but not tight; clean but not stripped of moisture. The visible signs were evident; my pores seemed to shrink to half their size; lines were reduced; redness seemed to disappear; I was glowing! The technician instructed me to cut the pads in half to get the most for my money. She also told me to gently squeeze each pad over the jar prior to each use to prolong the product...I took it one step further by then using what was left of the product on my hands to sweep across my chest since it is good to the last drop! I have become a "hoarder" of sorts with this product as I have stocked up each time it is on sale. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

LOVE this line. Have seen incredible improvements in skin texture and diminishment of lines and adult acne. Use with the A-bomb serum and moisturizer. The neck cream is also the best - and works as a firming eye cream too. Fantastic value on these products for what they do - which is more than any product line i've ever tried, including La mer and Dr Sebagh. People keep telling me how great my skin looks.

It seems that these peel pads were given out as a gift without instructions and that has led to misuse and negative reviews which I think are a great disservice to this brand and product.

So first an explanation: These are PEEL pads! Yes they can be a little irritating especially to sensitive skin or people not use to peels/glycolic acid. Use: after cleansing and before moisturizing - I would not use with any other toners or exfoliators at the same time. I once tried these and put another AHA/BHA gel on after and it dried my skin out/burned terribly. The instructions recommend squeezing the pad to remove excess product for sensitive skin.

My review: The Somme line is amazing - every person who has combo/oily skin and is looking for anti-aging products should be using the 3 core products of this line (and believe me I have investigated and tried pretty much every line out there) - the Transport Pads (AHA/BHA exfoliating pads), the Serum (high concentration of vitamin C), A-Bomb (high concentration of vitamins A and E). These products have everything you need - lots of it and not the bad stuff you don't. I think the cleanser and any additional sunblock/moisturizer can be switched out for your preference and to play around a bit and try new things. However, every time I switch out one of "the core 3" my skin pays a heavy price.

The Transport Pads: Once again these are DAILY PEEL PADS. You must use glycolic acid products daily and consistently and will see results in 2-3 months and must continue to use them to see benefits. This is how all glycolic acid products work. These will exfoliate your skin which is good for all kinds of skin types and for anti-aging. Everyone should be using glycolic acid and exfoliating daily (face and body!). These pads are comparable to all the other brand name peel pads out there and if you look at the ingredients you could argue quite a bit better. These exfoliating pads are fantastic and if used correctly you will see results - in acne, aging, brightness, discoloration, congestion, pores etc. There is no magic here - this is just what regular use of glycolic acid/exfoliation does.

First, let me say that I am extremely cynical when it comes to beauty claims. I would not have paid the price for this product so luckily I received it as a GWP. This is the most amazing product I have ever used. Yes, it has minimal packaging and no instructions but that just led me to read several reviews and go to the Somme website. By doing my research I was able to learn how to use the product correctly. Unfortunately, the few negative reviews below did not use the product properly and therefore were led to a bad review. The product with usage consistently will produce:
1st 2-3 weeks: Breakouts (because it is cleaning out the pores from the inside out)
3 to 6 weeks: you will begin to notice a remarkably smother and brighter complexion. Brown spots will begin to lighten.
****When I first read people say 'brighter' I thought exactly what does that mean? I will try to explain it from my perspective....It is like you have a cloud of dirt on your face that is removed.
6 to 12 weeks: Sun damage and pores are dramatically reduced.

I feel like I have found a miracle product and I would not have believed it myself if I had not used it. But, it does require consistency and a bit of patience to get through the first couple weeks of break outs and tingling. I would highly recommend this product from someone who has 41 year old skin, lived in FL her whole life (major sun damage) and has significant adult acne.

I have very good skin but since using both the transport pads and the A Bomb my skin has gone from good to great. I've been using them for almost one month now and my fine lines are getting less noticeable, and my skin is much more soft and supple. I have not found it to be irritating in the least but I am almost olive complected and my face is not sensitive at all.

I was a lttle unsure about trying this at first becuase of the cost, but it's well worth it...I'm even considering trying more products from Somme Institute. Seeing how the product is so expensive, I've only been using it at night while continuing to use my regular toner in the mornings. I have combo skin- oily in some areas and dry in others. These pads make my skin feel great all over. They have noticeably helped even out my skin tone, cleared up minor blemishes, and have lessened the appearance of fine lines/creases (which I have mainly experienced in my forehead area). I will definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

I got this full size as a GWP here, and it is probably the best [$] I spent (on a Tarte sharpener [...]. I was iffy at first. The tub is plain and ugly with a big ugly purple sticker, and there is absolutely no direction on how to use it. I did some research on the Somme Institute website and also another Makeup review website, and found that I am to use this after cleanser, before moisturizer. And this is supposed to be a gentle exfoliator. ALSO, this is important, I found out that the best way to use this and make best of the expensiveness, is to cut each pad into two halves and use one half at a time! The pads are super saturated with the product so you never really need to use an entire pad at a time. Cutting it in half dramatically increases usage amount, without at all compromising on the product's effectiveness. I use this once a day after I wash my face in the shower. I also exfoliate a bit with a brush in the shower, and then i smooth half a pad over my face and my neck. Then i use my regular moisturizer. Note that this item is the ONLY Somme Institute item i'm using. Since i've started using product, I have stopped having any kind of breakout (I had 2 minor breakout since i started, but far less than what I'm used to). My pores have also looked cleaner, black heads on my nose are not as prominent, and overall skintone is a lot more even. it does at first irritate my skin slightly, especially if I scrubbed a little too hard with my exfoliator brush in the shower, but i learned to exfoliate with a lighter hand and the irritation has reduced. I'm about 1/3 down the tub, and I'm fairly sure I'll be repurchasing this (probably the 100 pad tub) when i'm done! And possibly try the cleanser too! :D

This is by far themost mysterious product I have ever uesed.

It starts with the minimalistic jar. Very little to no info on how you are supposed to use the product and what you can expect.

IAfter my normal cleansing routine, took an individual Somme pad and wiped it all over my skin. The pad is overly saturated, and goes on very wet. And it takes a while to dry. IMy skin felt a bit irritated after. And teh next day, some blemishes appeared.

tried gain a week later. Same thing.

I got this as a freebie, and thank goodness for that. This is a product I would never buy again, and probably will toss the rest in the garbage.
