Seasonal Trends-Soft Focus-Bridal 2012

To create an approachable look, makeup artist Romy Soleimani chose colors from the Too Faced Romantic Eye Classic Beauty Shadow Collection. She began by lining the upper eyelid with Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Tigers Eye before blending in a mixture of the collection’s darker colors with a smudge brush. On the lower lash line, she created a haze of soft shadows with the collection’s lighter shades. To add a touch of color to the neutral base, Romy mixed shadows of brown and shimmering sage on her hand before sweeping it across the lid and blending well.

To finish the look she used the Kevyn Aucoin The Eyelash Curler and two coats of BY TERRY Mascara Terrybly Growth Booster Mascara.

For an allover glow, Romy gave the entire face a light dusting of Custom Color Blush using the Large Powder Brush from the Kevyn Aucoin The Brush Collection.

The nails were painted with two coats of butter LONDON 3 Free Nail Lacquer in Wallis, a mossy green, with glamorous gold, to add sparkle and reflect the natural color palette used on the eyes. For a laidback updo, hairstylist Rudi Lewis fashioned a simple halo of braids held loosely in place with bobby pins and a spritz of ALTERNA TEN Science of TEN Ultra Fine Brushable Hair Spray. To add a bit of color and shimmer befitting a summer night out or special event, Romy applied a bit of Stila One Step Bronze to the shoulders and décolleté. For even more sparkle the look was finished with a pair of eye-catching Elizabeth Cole Micro Mohawk Earrings.
