It goes on smoothly and makes my skin silky so that compact makeup glides on. But, I was looking for more base-coverage before I put my foundation on. If I put on makeup soon after my face cream, then I don't need anything to smooth out my skin; so this product is redundant for me. I'm glad I bought the little size. I do have super sensitive/reactive skin and this product did not irritate me at all though.
