I was looking for a liquid liner that has fewer harmful ingredients. Considering the price, this is just ok. I've had some great "drugstore" brand liquid liners that cost a fraction of this one, but they aren't considered "safe". This would be good for a nice cat-eye, but it's hard to get on your eyelid. It dries very quickly, which is great. A little too quickly, actually, since it kinda cakes as your putting it on like it's dried up, which makes it difficult to get a really clean line. Also, I found that it fades throughout the day.

I bought this product because I love wearing a cat eye and I use Loreal black eye pencils for this look. I thought it would be easier to create a perfect line if I used a liquid liner instead. I am not impressed with this product. It is easy to use and to create a straight line, but there is no color!!! I try to go over the line a few times to make it darker but I think it kind of erases the line instead. Now I use it to draw a straight line, then I go over that line with my Loreal pencil to get the bold cat eye that I like. I will try other liquid liners in the future. But I will not repurchase this product.

I use Smashbox concealors which I love, so I still like the brand just not this product.

I am an older woman and I find that I prefer a fine thin line of eyeliner and this makes it really easy to achieve that

This eyeliner is the best waterproof one I've found. It goes on easily and stays on all day. I was using Stila's similar eyeliner but I found this one lasts longer.

I've used a lot of different drugstore eyeliners -- E.L.F., NYC, Milani -- as well as a few mid-priced ones from Sephora. I've loved pretty much every Smashbox product I've used, and this one is no exception. It stays put after I apply eyeshadow and lasts all day, but it's also very easy to remove when you're ready to hit the haystack.

I have tried eyeliners with built-in brushes, as well as liner in individual pots that require a separate angled brush. So far, this Smashbox liner pen is my fave; so long as you have a steady hand and get the angle right, it's pretty easy to lay on a thick cat eye line, or a thin one.
