As I have gotten older, I have had to decide whether it's worse to have naked skin or to emphasize wrinkles, since most foundation makeups settle in cracks and crevices. This is the first makeup I have tried that does not do that. Instead of dotting it on carefully to avoid getting it into fine lines & wrinkles, I apply it ALL over my face! It stays all day and looks great! The coverage is light, so you may want a concealer for spot-overage. I give this my highest recommendation.

Overall this is not a bad product, and Smashbox certainly has a great reputation. This particular foundation, however, was a bit of a disappointment in that it had poor coverage. It is not bad for every day use as it is very lightweight and very translucent, but I would not recommend it for special events, photo shoots, or other occasions in which you need better blemish coverage.

I have tried numerous other foundations and tinted moisturizers, all from the top brands. Although some were very good (Chanel and surprisingly, Aveda) I have to say Smashbox Fx Foundation is the winner. I was searching for something that would even out my skin tone, make my skin look natural and glowing in every kind of light, go on smooth and non-greasy and voila - this was the answer. For best results use a foundation brush rather than fingers or sponge. Paired with the Smashbox Primer you will be floored at the results. It's the type of effect that people notice, but can't pinpoint.
