Lift the tab of the hygienic seal, to remove it (see illustration on box). Apply a thick, even coat on clean skin, avoiding the hairline, eye and lip area on clean skin. After 20 minutes or when completely dry, peel off gently from the outside. Follow with a toner. Use once to twice a week. Close cap tightly after use. |

Mask is not runny or messy, smells great.
I use it after a hot shower or bath,when pores are "open".
Put a very nice layer on ( I use just one middle finger ),careful around the brows area and hairline - pretty easy,huh? ;)
NOTHING IS DRIPPING,trust me!
I leave it on for 30-45 minutes,nothing burns or stings.
Pull it off gently - nothing hurts.
Makes my skin very glowing and fresh - I just quit smoking and very proud of it ( although I never had "smokers skin". But as a former model,I've been taking care of my skin since I was 14-16 )
After the mask I use Aven Thermal Spring water ( highly recommend as well),and wipe off any small remains with a cotton square, then spray more water on and use my moisturizer .
Again - NOT MESSY,DOES NOT HURT!!!
But not for skin that is sensitive,very dry,with bad acne or rosacea.
Buy it ,if you don't have conditions mentioned above and you'll like it.
I will buy it again.

The irony is that this inky, black mask claims to whiten skin. Well, I've used it many times and I don't think it works that purpose. However, this is a nice mask for occassional use (I use it once a week) for skin maintenance and keeping the pores clear. I've found that if I use it too often, it dries my skin. The biggest gripe about this product is the mess factor. It is REALLY messy, I don't even store it upright (on its cap) because the stuff just leaks out when you open it. It stained my skin, my hands (have to really scrub) and more than a few poor towels. The texture is sticky, too, so be prepared to have black hands during the application. Now, applying it to the face is also tricky. It doesnt spread consistently and if it's too thin, it will dry up in clumps; too thick and it wont dry. Sigh. Also, if you happen to get it in your eyebrows, be prepared to say goodbye to them as they get ripped out whileyou remove the mask. It takes a while to "master this mask" but if you can then you, too, can have the satisfaction of peeling it off in (nearly) one piece! I did see white "stuff" stuck to the inside of the mask, I am assuming they are what's been inside my pores. So that's proof it works, at least.

I've used the product about 2 times a week for more than a month already. Learning how to apply this mask was a bit tricky since a thick and even layer has to be applied or the mask won't peel off normally. There's a very nice and clean smell to the mask, so it's not unpleasant to keep it on for 20 minutes.
The mask pulls out all the whiteheads and dead skin cells on my face so my skin feels soft and very clean. Maybe it's the intense exfoliation, but I think it has lightened some of my hyper-pigmentation.
This would NOT be for those with sensitive skin. My face ends up red every time I use this mask (and then goes back to normal after a few hours), and I don't have sensitive skin.

I use this about every 2 weeks. It refreshes my skin, cleans my pores and feels like I have removed all impurities. I love a good woorkout followed by a sauna and steam and this gives me the same refreshing feeling for a complete detox. Love it and would recommend it!Keep away from hair line, eyebrowns and lips. Put on an even layer and wait to dry then peel off easily! Love it!

This is a great Japanese-style peeling mask. I have large pores, T-zone oiliness and hyper-pigmentation, and I need to exfoliate several times a week. I use this mask twice a week at night and removing it, while it can be a bit painful, is worth the discomfort. My skin feels smooth and receptive to my post-mask regimen. Just keep the tube standing up and when dispensing, squeeze from the bottom (with the tube facing up) and apply carefully with your index & middle finger. I had no problems with over-oozing and avoid your hairline & eyebrows!

I love this mask. It is quite addicting, peeling it off. I apply, avoiding hairline, eyes, and mouth, let dry, then slowly peel off. After I use this mask, my skin feels soft and looks clearer. It removes some blackheads/whiteheads/clogged pores but not all of them. However, it is insane to think any product will remove all of them, so I'm not disappointed that it doesn't.
It doesn't matter if I use a thin or thick layer - both work. But it is easier to remove a thicker layer (after it dries completely).
I get a bit cold when I use this, so I apply, then huddle under a blanket while watching tv until it dries.

This mask needs to be peeled off after 20 minutes and removing that black layer all over the face is quite painful, messy and time-consuming. I would compare it to the feeling of removing a band-aid or a Biore band. For the ones who are doing electrolysis on your face, this is not a good option because the mask epilates hairs along with removing impurities. I would recommend to apply it only on the nose or other specific areas, but certainly not all over your face!

I wanted to try a mask and this one caught my attention because I hadn't seen anything like it before. I don't find it to be messy at all. It does remove like everything off your face. Like dirt, dead skin cells, even removes the fine little peach fuzz hairs off my face. I can't tell if it removes black heads because the mask is black though. It doesn't hurt to remove the mask at all, and it leaves my skin soft, and radiant.

Basically, the mask is like a large Biore nose strip for your entire face. I wish it wasn't the scary black color because it might have frightened my neighbor when I was by the window.
I use the mask once a week and also 2 other masks, too. Every time I use it, I can see the white heads stuck to the mask after removal. Foundation goes on evenly. I've also gotten compliments from friends the day after I applied the mask.
