i bought this cleanser on a whim, hoping that it would help calm some dryness and breakouts. i'd describe my skin as combination with sometimes significant dryness in the colder months. my skin felt and looked irritated and my standby gentle cleanser (Cetaphil) seemed to only be making the dryness and irritation worse. the REN Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel is incredibly gentle. before trying this product, i'd never used a gel cleanser that didn't leave my skin feeling tight. i will not be buying Cetaphil again because this product is just so much better for any sensitivity and dryness, which, in turn, will help address irritation, such as breakouts. the cleanser also has a fantastic neroli/orange blossom scent. i tried a sample of the REN Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk, which is nice enough, but i think the cleansing gel is even better.
