To Color the Face: Place two fingers along the nose. (This is the placement guide.) Using the full head of the Blush Brush, apply color on center of cheek and blend along the bone. It is best to start with a light application of color and build if necessary. To Shape Or Contour The Face: Using the tip of the Blush Brush, place a neutral color under the cheekbone to create depth. Then apply the same neutral color at the temples and blend back towards hairline. To Highlight the Face: With Orgasm Blush, use the side of the Blush Brush and move in circular pattern over the top of the cheekbone. Using the side of the brush enhances the gold shimmer in the brush. For Long Lasting Color: For the woman that needs extra long lasting color, apply The Multiple over the cheek area and set with similar shade of powder blush. The two products will adhere together and provide long lasting color. (Example: Malibu Multiple followed with Plaisir Blush.) |

Lovejoy is one of the more 'natural' shimmer blushes that the line offers . That being said, I don't normally like shimmer blushes but thought that I'd give this a try and it is a lovely color.
On my deeper skin tone, it just looks natural when applied lightly. One the days when my blush brush happens to pick up too much glitter for my liking, I'd apply a matte shadow (MAC's brown script) or blush (Mac's prism) on top and it'd tone down the shimmer for me nicely.
Over all, I would suggest this for someone who wants a shimmer blush that isn't too crazy and is wearable on an every day basis.

Browner that color on-line
This color is more like a dark bronzer - I use several other Nars blushes and this is the first one I didn't like so much

Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
Lovejoy is a beautiful bronzy tan color that would suit a lot of skin tones, however, if you are medium or deeper you need this blush! It adds a golden glow and also acts as bronzer so you can skip bronzer when using this blush. It blends like a dream and has good pigmented so you do have to be a bit careful when applying it. It is more a summer time blush but you can rock it all year round.

Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
I was a bit hesitant at first to purchase Lovejoy, but now am glad I did. Just be careful - apply lightly or it will come out too dark. But it has a beautiful bronze color with little sparkley effects. I sometimes use it with Zen, which is a bit lighter.

Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
I have more of an olive deeply tanned skintone (think Chanel Iman or Rihanna).. I thought this blush would not look good on me.. I saw a recommendation for this blush for people my skin tone.. It looked gorgeous on the model so I tried it on at the store and I was completely shocked! The color was beautiful and it has more of a rosey finish to it.. It does not look cakey or thick.. It reminds me of when I get done running, how I have that natural windblown flush! A must try.. Although it was [$], I will definitely be buying again! :)

Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
I was skeptical of the color in the compact, but on my African American skin this color gives me that bronzer/blush look. With just a little bit on a brush, it gives me a bronze-rose glow.
Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
My mother and I both tried this and found that it looks natural on my fair skin, and also with her more olive coloring.
Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
This is an absolute must-have!!! This has been one of my favorites for a few years now. Great on medium skin, a little dark for lighter complexions. It gives a luminous shimmery look, but yet very natural looking. Highly recommended by a girl that has tried them all!!
Comments about NARS Blush, Lovejoy, .16 oz:
Gorgeous Coppery-Rose color on my skin! In the pan, Lovejoy looks like a just a plain blah-brown bronzer, but when applied to the skin Lovejoy becomes a gorgeous rosy-golden-coppery color! It has a beautiful fine shimmer to it that creates a luminous look - not glittery, just "luminous". I have fair skin, and when applied VERY lightly and sheerly, with a lightweight fan brush (example: Paula Dorf Fan Brush or Jane Iredale fan Brush), Lovejoy creates the most beautiful color! The key is to apply Lovejoy *VERY LIGHTLY* so that the soft rose color can show through on the skin. If applied too heavily the brown will overwhelm the rose color in it. So apply sheerly, and Lovejoy will be a gorgeous multi-faceted color! I love it!
