This product is touted as a universally flattering shade, and I wouldn't *quite* say that's true. I think it's perfect if your lips don't have much pigment, and if that pigment tends toward the peachy/brownish side.

For me -- very fair skinned, with medium-pigmented lips that tend toward a brownish rose color -- this product is almost invisible. It's still a great lipstick, though! When I put it on, it more evens out my lip tone than anything else (adds little pigment -- makes them slightly peachier than without lipstick?), and makes my lips look like they're a nice, moisturized texture. No smell or taste at all, which I appreciate. For me, this is a great lipstick for when I want to look polished, but not like I've put on any makeup.

I recommend Nars Gypsy for a similar-but-more-dramatic look. One swipe of Gypsy gives a little more rosey depth to my lips -- so they look a little more made-up and intentional, but still very natural and fresh. Both a great colors. Try them both!

I wear this lipstick everyday, and I'm a real product-junkie, trying new items all the time. Yet I always come back to Dolce Vita: I keep tubes in my bathroom, my office drawer, and in all my purses. It's just the one lipstick shade and formula I know looks and works great with every outfit, on every occasion, and the only one I can put on blind -- without looking in the mirror, on the run, even while I'm walking or driving. The only drawback is one that others have commented on: its formula is sheer and moisturizing, so you have to reapply several times a day. But I don't mind, because it's beautiful, classic, and perfect. Not only would I recommend it to others: I have.

I have been trying diffferent lipsticks forever, and have the draw to prove it. This is the first lipstick that I loved. The color is perfect. I love that it is gluten free. I will gradually buy more of the colors. I mostly forgot to put lipstick on, but now I use it all the time.

This is a fine lip product, no complaints about that. I am writing more to review the color, Dolce Vita. It looks like a classic natural color , and it is. But on me, it is too pink. I need a color with a bit more brown tone. My best color ever was Aucoin's Anastasia....but that one only comes in gloss (pot) form. So I will continue my search for a true lipstick with that perfect pink-brown color. For the record I found a color gloss by (cringe ) Hello Kitty that fit the bill.

This lipstick is a pretty,natural color - that's where my compliments end. It leaves lips feeling very dry once it wears off,which it does in about 3 seconds,and reapplies unevenly. Most of all,I just can't justify the price,for what I got.Will not be repurchasing.

I use this every day. It moisturizes and adds just a hint of color. You will have to reapply every couple of hours but I prefer that to sticky or bad tasting.

To my sisters of color--this is the PERFECT work/business/interview shade of lipstick. It'll flatter all hues from alabaster to cocoa. It's not loud and will not distract. This is that perfect shade that will match anything in your wardrobe. I recommend you wear this when in doubt about to what color to wear. Your mom will love you in this color, and she'll probably permanently borrow it from you.

This is ideal for that serious and sophisticated look. Also buy the matching matte velvet lip pencil, blush, and Borneo lipliner pencil.

Dolce Vita is a great pinkish brown natural color - can be worn day or night for about any occassion. This lipstick is sheer so if you want matte you won't like this but for those of us that want just a hint of color (that actually stays on for awhile) this is a great choice for you. I really like NARS products and would buy this lipstick in another shade.

This is great for everyday and for that special occasion. Add a little gloss and you are good to go! It wears well, but I find that with all if NARS cosmetics. LOVE IT!
