It took a week or so for my skin to adapt to this product - at first it was a little bit irritating and my face was slightly red. But, now I believe that this moisturizer was putting my skin through a healing process.
I look ten years younger after using this product for about three weeks. Seriously, I am 37, and I was told that I look 22. I do get routinely told that I look like I'm in my 20s, but 22 is a little unbelievable! My skin texture has completely evened out and the blackheads I've had on my nose for years (despite other lotions and products) have nearly disappeared. I have the peaches and cream complexion I lost to age and stress years ago.
You just need a tiny little bit - I put it in my palm and then put dots all over my face with my fingertips, then blend them together. It absorbs extremely quickly and you can use it under makeup.
I wish it had a little bit of sunscreen - I don't like putting a ton of products on my face and I'd rather use a moisturizer/sunscreen combo, but I can't find one that doesn't irritate my skin.

Light moisturizer but still break outs

I have been using this product for a few weeks now, and the jury is still out. However, I wanted to review because I think this lotion may actually be breaking me out! I have had a lot of success with the Murad Clarifying Cleanser, so I tried this after reading the good reviews. However, I am still having some minor breakouts. Nothing bad, but I've noticed I've been breaking out a bit more since using this lotion. I haven't changed anything else in my routine since getting it, so that's why I'm assuming it's this product.
However, I will say that as a moisturizer, this works extremely well. I HATE thick, greasy lotions where you can just feel your pores clogging. This is very light and makes my skin feel soft and healthy. It smells nice for a face cream and a little bit goes a long way - maybe I'll try putting less on and see if that helps with the breakouts.
Also, on the areas of my face where I don't typically break out (I have VERY combination skin), this product makes me glow! I've never had that with a lotion but it really does make my skin look youthful and healthy. If it weren't for the breakouts, I'd be completely sold on it. I'm going to try using less product each time and seeing if that helps. I should mention that I have extremely volatile skin so most people would probably be fine with this product. It's hit or miss for me.

Comments about Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion, 1.7 fl oz:
i have really sensitive highly allergic skin and can break out from almost everything especially moisturizers. this wasnt a problem for most of my life as i had oily skin but medication has dried out parts of my face and i get a rash around my neck and chest. this helps with the rash and moisturizes those dryer areas while also working on skin that can still break out from acne around my cheeks. however, its a bit drying around my nose. and its too costly to use everyday. but its worth it as a longtime invesment.

Comments about Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion, 1.7 fl oz:
I've been using this product for about a month for my somewhat light adult acne.
Things I've tried that haven't worked for me:
1. Dapsone Rx: The dermatologist recommended a prescription dapsone gel 5% which I didn't think helped my skin - I thought it just caused all my pores to close up, trapping inside all the sebum. When I picked my face to try clearing all the bumps, it would make huge scabs that took forever to heal.
2. MK Timewise & Velocity: Previously I used MK products but for some reason my face stopped responding to their system. I guess it was time to shake things up a bit.
3. dr. B: After MK, I switched to Blemishes No More Oil Free Hydrator, but the second bottle I purchased had a bottle pump malfunction that made it difficult to get the product out. I think it lasted less than half of the time than the first bottle did, with me using a q-tip to try scraping it out (frustrating!). He has since redesigned the bottle, but other reviewers suggest the formulation has also changed. Beauty.com has stopped selling this product, last I checked.
4. MK Oil Control Lotion Formula 3: after the dr. Brandt bottle catastrophe I went back to MK trying a different, more specific oil control product. I think it feels kind of gritty and my face feels a little tight after using it. I also don't think it makes my face "glow" - it makes it kind of flat looking. Sometimes I use it at night since it is so cheap in comparison to other options.
So, I arrived at this Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion.
Pros:
1. It was a little bit cheaper than the Dr. B lotion for the same amount and I have liked Murad samples I've tried in the past.
2. It has a nice smell initially that kind of turns weird but pleasant, then goes away altogether in a few seconds. This is a pro for the nice smell that then disappears - I hate unintended fragrance.
3. My skin feels hydrated and doesn't show oil most all day.
4. It seems to have calmed my face down, as I am getting fewer new break outs.
5. Bottle design is foolproof and the large screw cap is easy to handle. I don't know why but I really like the cap, ha.
6. Does NOT contain benzoyl peroxide, which my dermatologist said is too harsh for adult skin.
Cons:
1. Price - I think I'll use it up in about 3 months max.
2. Does not contain salicylic acid (acne fighting)
All in all, I think it is a good, solid product. I'd have given it 5 stars if it had salicylic acid in it.
My routine is:
1. DD Ain't Misbehavin Cleanser on a dry face, rinse off thoroughly, pat dry
2. Toner/Astringent (any should work) - I really try to scrub off the dead cells and oil. Leaving any kind of sebum-build up leads to breakouts for me.
3. Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion.
This is a great start for the face. Don't forget something anti-aging for the sensitive eye skin as well.

I love this product. I first recieved it as a sample from beauty.com and started using it. I have a mild case of adult acne and it did what it says; it minimized my pores and helped with breakouts and dry skin, along with my other skin care regimen products. And call me a weirdo but I love the way it smells it kinda reminds me of pickles lol

Comments about Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion, 1.7 fl oz:
My skin has always been a problem. I have random break-outs, and my skin is always dry from being out in Iraq. Most lotions make my face too greasy and I end up breaking out more. I LOVE this lotion. Just a small dime size drop covers the whole face. Worth EVERY penny!!! I will be buying this again.
