Since the function of the brush is to clean soil from the hair the brush should be cleansed frequently. A cleaning brush is included with all brushed (except pocket and child sizes) which is used to remove trapped hair and scales from the bristles. There are two recommended cleaning methods.
When more thorough cleaning is needed, follow these simple steps:

It's a good brush, sure. It makes my hair look reasonably good. But so does my $6 brush. This was a rip-off.

This brushes out hair so thoroughly, especially if your scalp is unbearably itchy -- a few good strokes with this will take care of it. It makes your hair shiny, it's great for brushing out before you wash your hair to get product residue or flakes to the surface so you spend less time scrubbing at your hair, it doesn't snag or rip hair. I've used cheap boar brushes before and they all left me with such a sore scalp; other brushes didn't even reach my scalp or detangle. All I can say is that even though I wish this were cheaper, this brush is totally worth the price tag.

I was skeptical about paying so much money on a brush. However, I am so glad I did. I have wavy hair that tends to get frizzy and this brush makes my hair so soft and nice.

I honestly think this is the perfect size! I thought it'd be a lot smaller, but for a petite gal, it's the same size as any other regular brush I have ever bought. It brushes beautifully!

This brush is wonderful. I decided to try this brand with the pocket size and see if I liked it. I now plan to buy a larger one for at home and keep the pocket in my purse. This product is well worth the money. Brushing with this brush feels good, like a mini-massage, and it leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy every time. I have never been enthusiastic about a hairbrush before, but this one has changed my attitude towards hairbrushes permanently. I LOVE it.

This is an amazing brush - I have this for my purse and the large size at home. It will make hair soft and shiny and feels wonderful. I would definitely recommend this brush (and have given it as a gift).
