Remove the cap, and twist the base of the pen to dispense product onto the applicator. Apply to overgrown cuticles and wait 3–5 minutes. Gently push back cuticles with the flocked head and wash hands to remove excess product. Important Notice: Upon first use, twist the pen several times to start the flow of product.

Immediately after receiving my shipment, I opened the box to follow the directions. It sasys to twist several times to release the product onto the pen tip. This did not work. I'm so disappointed in this product. I received an empty pen.
