I use once a week. Have not found any other shampoo product on the market exclusively for gray or graying hair and wanted something that would 'silver' it out as opposed to gray or yellow undertones. This does.

Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 oz:
I use this about once a week to keep my color bright/ natural looking. It does just what it is supposed to. It doesn't smell great or lather well, but it works! You can mix a little of your favorite shampoo if you want more of a lather/ fragrance.

Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 oz:
This keeps the grey and silver in my hair from turning yellow. It also works on men's white beards that are turning yellow. It is the only purple dye product, either shampoos or conditioners, that does not leave my hair feeling like straw even if I follow with a deep conditioner. Remember this is a dye so it will permanently stain your bathtub etc. Make sure to rinse the bottle and cap tightly. I store mine in a plastic Ziploc bag.
My hair stylist told me to use this at most once a week, or even just twice a month. Jump start the removal of brassiness, yellowness or dingy hair by using twice a week for 2 weeks.

I've tried using it twice now, and both times the smell made me feel like throwing up. Sorry for TMI, but using this product was a really horrible experience. As expensive as it was (and I bought two bottles - one each for home and travel(:-( I hate to toss it but peeeeeeeUUUUUUUU.

Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 oz:
What I appreciated was the instruction to use my regular shampoo if my hair was really greasy. How many products wouldn't just tell you to use more? I am pleased with how white my white hair is becoming. I have long hair so I only wash it weekly. Thanks for an honest product.

Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 oz:
I use this almost every time I shampoo. No, it doesn't produce tons of lather, but it cleans gently and effectively. The best thing is that it doesn't turn naturally gray/white hair purple, and it actually makes mine shiney and full of highlights! I've tried lots of "purple shampoos" and this is by far the best.

Comments about PHYTO Phytargent Whitening Shampoo, Blonde, Gray and White Hair, 6.7 oz:
I hoped for more from this product. Having used a blue malva shampoo for a few years and being disappointed when it was discontinued, I thought this was going to be very similar. The fragrance is much the same and I like that it helps with whitening up the yellow tinge in my white hair. But it doesn't lather very well and it's very thin in consistency . . . I usually have more of it run out of my hand than I get into my hair. It's not bad, but it's not great either.
