I have used this product in the medium tint for a few years because I thought the light might not provide good coverage. Boy, was I wrong? It goes on very easily, provides great and even coverage and looks great. My skin is closer to light than medium so this one is perfect. I'll pull the medium back out in summertime after some sun exposure (or to pretend that I've had sun exposure).

This is sold as a primer, but I use it as a foundation and I am typically one who likes a full coverage foundation. The color is amazing, not muddy like so many lines like IT Cosmetics or Bare Mineral. I wear the light and it covers the red on my face like a miracle and dark spots are nearly gone. If it's really humid I mix a little Bare Minerals in Light with some translucent powder and it lasts all day, which here in New Orleans high humidity that is another miracle. Can't say enough good things about this foundation. Thank you so much Tarte!!

Someone else mentioned that the Light shade is way too dark. I agree. Its a great product, but unless Tarte changes the tone of the Light, I will never buy it again. For this reason alone I gave it a 4 instead of the 5

I have very dry, sensitive skin that can get red and splotchy. I do not like to wear base or foundation because it can break me out, but I like to just even out my skin tone. I use this bb cream, and it works great. I don't notice break-outs with out; it definitely evens out tone, and it helps to keep my dry skin from drying out any more than it already does. It's my go-to.

The formula is fine. It simply feels like a primer. So if that is what you prefer, this could be the product for you. It's not necessarily what I prefer. My primary complaint is the color. Despite the fact that this is the lightest color for this line, when I put it on, it was still pretty beige on my skin, making my face seem darker than my neck and chest. I had to balance out the coloring with a lighter face powder. If you are fair skinned, I would stay away from this product.

I have a light-medium skintone and the Light is a great match as the medium is a bit too dark. This gives amazing coverage yet feels so light. I have oily acne prone skin and in the winter months I do wear a moisturizer underneath. It has a mousse like texture and leaves a natural matte finish.
