Comments about Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil, Smoky Black, .04 oz:
Expected a longer wearing product that stayed in place. As with so many eyeliners I've tried, I later discover traces below the lower eyelid. It is very easy to apply though, and I liked the blackish gray color. By Terry eyeliners have worked best for me, but they're also very expensive in comparison to other brands.

Comments about Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil, Smoky Black, .04 oz:
I use a liquid liner by Almay for the upper lid, but I'm still trying to find a very long-lasting pencil for the lower. This one was pricey, but I went for it. It glides on easily, and the blending tip makes it look natural. However, it really doesn't last more than a few hours. It's so frustrating. On the up side, I have very sensitive eyes and this does not irritate them at all. It also removes easily (whatever is left of it at the end of the day) with the only eye makeup remover I ever use, Lancome BiFacils. Very good, but a bit too expensive, so I will probably not buy again.
Comments about Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil, Smoky Black, .04 oz:
The product itself is quite nice. However, when I tried to sharpen the pencil, much was wasted. When I got to 1/2 the pencil, it could NOT be sharpened. There would always be a sharp part of the wood remaining. A very poor return for the very costly [$] for one pencil. Do not buy.

Allure was right! This is the best smoky pencil.
As a 50 year old woman it is very nice to use a pencil
that does not tug at the delicate eye area skin,
glides on smoothly and looks great after an long day.
