Purchased these for a pair of flats with leather soles. I used fine-grade sandpaper to gently scuff the leather before adhering these, but after less than 2 hours of wear, one fell off completely and the other was only partially attached. The one that fell off left behind a thick, sticky residue that has left a dark stain on the sole of my shoe. I was able to remove most of the other one, but this too left a dark stain (although much smaller than the other). I'm really disappointed. These may work on shoes with different types of soles, but I would advise you NOT to purchase these for use with leather-soled shoes.
