Plug in the base, place the rollers on it and watch the red dot on the top of the roller turn dark in 3 to 5 minutes, letting you know they are heated. Roll sections of your hair onto a roller and use a clip to hold in place. Your long lasting curl will be ready within 3 minutes but the longer you leave the rollers in the more tightly shaped the curl becomes. Because of the CreateIon Technology you will find the hot rollers add much more volume and curl to the hair, for softer looks use less rollers than you would normally use with traditional rollers. |

4 months into purchase, one hot roller no longer heats up. Emailed customer service and got a replacement roller in couple of weeks. 2 months later, 2 more rollers failed. emailed customer service at calista and no response. tried to call customer service, which is outsourced to foreign country and hard to understand. I kept getting transferred to different departments and eventually got hung up. tried to call 4 times and got disconnected every time! Half of my rollers stopped working in 7 months, not worth the price tag or the horrid customer service.

Bought a set from another website - 2 rollers were missing "ready indicators". This national shopping network wanted me to return entire set instead of replacing just the two. The return involved too many steps right before Christmas. I notified Calista company and they said they would send replacements - haven't received yet ! Ordered another set from Beauty.com for another location. One roller doesn't heat ! The ones that work are great, but these are expensive and there should be NO defects and better customer service when there are. I cannot recommend because of two out of two orders that contained defects.

I would love this system if the curler barrels came in a larger width, the long hair rollers are the same barrel size as the ones for short hair giving my hair way too much curl when I just need volume. I would send these back if I had kept the packaging.
