I have fine curly hair that is about shoulder length when dry. I thought that this band, which is intended for a half up, would work for my whole head of hair. It does, but my hair does not cover the whold band. It is a nice, fast way for me to have my hair up during the summer. It is very gentle and comfortable. I just don't have enough hair to conceal the band, so it is a less formal look.
