I have been taking these supplements for 2 1/2 months now. If anybody looks at me, they would say that I have a full head of hair but I noticed that it has gotten thinner over the past few years, probably due to hormone changes since I am 49. It seemed like a LOT of hair was coming out in the shower. The directions say that it will take 3 - 6 months to see a difference, but I can tell that I am not losing as much when I shampoo and I also see little sprigs of new growth around the hairline. I plan to keep using this for at least another 3 months and if my hair starts going back to its original thickness I will probably never quit taking it.

I've battled thinning hair due to medication issues for some years now and previously taken Phyto hair vitamins with little success. I purchased an initial 3 month supply of Viviscal thinking if it didn't work any better than the Phyto, I wouldn't buy again but to my amazement, after about 6 weeks of use, my hair stylist commented that she noticed a lot of new hair growth (and I had not told her about the change in vitamins). I also notice my fingernails and toenails are much stronger and looking much healthier. I've already purchased another 3 month supply. I'm seldom impressed with a product to write a review but these hair vitamins are worth a try. I've been using Toppik hair fibers for some time to cover the thinning spots and I'm now having to use less Toppik or Viviscal fiber product for the fill ins.

I just started using this product so I will update my review in a few months. Just wanted to warn people that it can make your skin break out pretty bad. My skin has definitely been much worse since I've been taking this and it's only been a couple of weeks. I've read reviews on this product on other sites and this is a very common complaint. Despite this, I'm going to continue to use it to see if it really works.
