Our first MATTE palette, featuring six gorgeously Naked neutrals to build on or wear alone. Naked Basics is more than just the long-awaited, multipurpose MATTE companion to Naked. It's the palette EVERY woman needs in her beauty arsenal. With six stripped-down, Nakedly neutral shadows, it has everything you need for the perfect neutral matte eye. While this palette is small, we loaded it with full-size shadow pans, just like our other Naked palettes. Every shade features our Pigment Infusion System™, a vehicle for color that holds tightly to pigment and gives the formula its glide. The proprietary blend of ingredients allows color to weave itself through the Eyeshadow formula. What does all that mean? Insane color payout. Color that stays on your lids. Sparkle that doesn’t fall. And velvety, suede-like smoothness and blendability. It all comes in a sleek compact (embossed with a pretty, metallic 'NAKED' on the front) that has a slight sheen and a suede-like feel that practically begs to be touched. (Hello - how gorgeous will THAT look coming out of your bag?!) Best of all, the slim design is perfect for travel - so you’ll never have to be without these must-have shades. I should start this review by saying that I absolutely love the original Naked palette, didn't care for Naked 2 (too cool for my medium/tan olive coloring), and have a strong preference for matte or light shimmer shadows in general. While I was a bit reluctant to give this palette a try (how many versions of the original Naked can Urban Decay concoct, after all?), I admit that I really do like this product. I tested it out yesterday by creating a pretty basic daytime look: Naked 2 on the lid, Faint in the crease, the (surprisingly lovely) demi-matte Venus as a highlighter on the brow bone, and a little bit more Faint to line the lower lashes. I was impressed not only with the user-friendly color range but the blendability of the shadows, and find that this palette lends itself to everything from a "no-makeup" look to a major smokey eye. I was prepared to send this one back if I didn't love it a solid 100%, but it's with me for good. The size and composition of this palette definitely lends itself to travel and/or everyday use, and the price is very fair, given its versatility and quality. It certainly represents an improvement on the majority of the higher-priced palettes that I have found.

I love makeup and I really love Urban Decay. I have to say I am so terribly disappointed with the Naked Basics Palette. The colors are boring--even for a day look. I feel like I have to use a ton of color on my brush to get it to even show up. I've seen people who have worn the Basics Palette and it's looked great, maybe they're using a particular combination within the palette that I don't know about. I can see this sitting in my makeup drawer, unused for a long time.

Comments about Urban Decay Naked Basics, 1 Palette:
Really love these shadows. They have such great pigmentation and glide on beautifully. I love the nude colors for that natural but "better" look. Don't leave eyelid looking "crepey'. They last a long time and stay put. I don't notice them "dusting off" when you apply either. It is the best shadow I've used in years and am really pleased with the textue and wearabliity. My new favorite and "go to" shades.

Comments about Urban Decay Naked Basics, 1 Palette:
Lovely colors and very versatile. The pallet is excellent, great pigmentation, long lasting, blends easily and the price is affordable. I have to emphasize how pleased i am with the selection of colors in this set, they truly did a good job. They look so simple at first sight, but the possibilities with blending and shading are awesome! I have very fair, sensitive skin and the colors are spot on for me. Will buy this again and looking forward to trying the other Naked eye shadow sets by UD....try it, you wont be disappointed!

I just received this from beauty.com today. I was really nervous ordering this online but it came in perfect condition. The packaging was great. The palette itself was better than I could have imagined. I love it. It has a heavy feel to it even though it's pretty small. Some people have complained that the colors don't show up very well, but I'm fairly light in BM and it shows up great.

Comments about Urban Decay Naked Basics, 1 Palette:
This silky, matte, non-glittery shadow kit enables you to bring out the best of your eyes. You can reshape them, conceal flaws, and highlight your assets with the natural flesh colors in this palette, and you won't look like you have any shadow on!
The lightest shade makes your eyes pop and the darkest shade makes a dramatic liner. I used to dread having to apply eye shadow, but I now gladly use this kit every day! If I want to wear a brightly colored shadow, I'll just add it after I "prepare" my eyes with the neutrals in this kit. The shadow stays all day and I don't have to worry about embarrassing glitter specs on my face!
You need to purchase your own properly shaped brushes to achieve the maximum benefit of this natural palette. Urban Decay made me a believer!
