Comments about The Beachwaver Co. The Beachwaver, 16", 1 ea:
I have extremely thin, fine, limp, pin-straight hair that generally DOES NOT hold a curl at ALL. I've tried all kinds of curling irons, etc., and either they don't even work on my hair, or I need to turn the heat up so high that my hair is a big frizzy, fried mess by the time I'm done. I also have some problems with muscle and joint pain and fatigue, so a traditional curling iron is next to impossible for me to work with.
I could never get over my "dreams" (haha) of having nice, soft beach waves as an option. I had looked at the Beachwaver before, but didn't want to spend so much. At this point, it seems like I should have just bought it first rather than wasting money on several cheaper tools that definitely added up to more than $200 before I was done.
This is easy and effective to use. There's minimal strain on my arms, as the Beachwaver does most of the work by itself. I just got this the other day and tried it last night--and my hair, that never holds a curl? Well, I couldn't brush it out last night before bed, I still had waves when I got up this morning, and after a shower and washing/brushing my hair, there's still a small amount of evidence of the waves. Plus, the body it added to my hair was just beautiful.
The ONLY reason I took a star off is because I found that it's very easy to accidentally touch the buttons near the top of the handle (Left/Right/GO), and you just have to barely touch them to "activate" them. The iron got frighteningly close to my head once because I bumped the "GO" button, but I think I had it too close to my head to begin with. But that might just be me being clumsy--I'm also the kind of girl who tends to burn myself at least a little every time I try any type of heat styling.
All around, though, this product is wonderful. After trying several tools to get my desired effect, this is the only one that has really worked, with the added bonus that it doesn't leave my arms feeling like they are about to fall off! This splurge was definitely worth it, I'm so happy with the product and I'll just have to learn how to hold/use it without bumping the buttons by accident--I'm sure that will come with practice.

OMG!!! First time and forever love this tool. Got it within 3 days of shipment, and tried it right away.
When plugged in, the hot immediately comes out, so be careful. So easy to use, save lots of time to curling the whole hair. Couldn't get any better than this. SO SO HAPPY AND SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASED.

All the girls in my office have borrowed my Beachwaver. I have thicker hair that has been treated with a keratin treatment. This tool works flawlessly on thin blond straight hair, Asian hair that won't keep a curl or very coarse curls that you are trying to tame to beachy waves. Just be careful of the heat settings. I also just use the barrel on occasion instead of the clip for a different dresser look.

The Beachwaver is the only tool that has ever worked for my fine/thin hair. I can achieve the red carpet waves in about 5 minutes and they last all day. I love it!
