I use this product as recommended but it's like applying more moisturizer. There is no slightly waxy, super-silky coverage of primer. I was disappointed because the product cost three times what I paid for Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind primer, which works really well at making a smooth surface for my foundation. Clean slate absorbs very quickly and just disappears, but does smell nice. The scent is faint and unobtrusive. So I ended up with what seems a moderately expensive moisturizer for my face.

I have super oily skin and so far this is working great for me. I love that it does not have silicone in it which usually make my face even more oily by the end of the day. It doesn't feel greasy at all and disappears right into the skin. It also smells wonderful, like oranges, and a little goes a long.

This is the ONLY primer, that I know of, that is silicon-free. It works great, makes your skin feel good, it's not heavy or thick, like other primers. Your skin can breathe, but it really works.

Wonderful primer! This primer I use as the last step after my serums, moisturizers, and sunscreen. I notice that I have a dewy look and not drying. This has helped keep my make-up on longer and I love that it does not cause break out. Love Tarte!
