The VL Baby Balms are a conditioning treatment for lips that also add quite a bit of color. You can build it up to go from sheer to quite a bit of color but it NEVER looks or feels goopy, heavy or mask-like. The color applies evenly from the tube or you can blot it on with your finger for conditioning stain. Sheer Contessa is a cool red; wonderful if your afraid to wear red but WANT to wear it, lol. Great for the office or with jeans. Your lips have the slight wetness of a gloss but NO stickiness nor is it full coverage; your lips simply look hydrated with color. Holy Grail item for me.
