I'm in my late fifties. Read about this from a magazine beauty editor, and after the rave reviews on this site, I anticipated LOVING this greyed-amethyst cream shadow for this price. Sadly, this item GLITTERS(not elegant shimmer, but bonafide micro-GLITTER) and if you don't use an eye makeup remover first, washing will distribute glitter all over your face. Too bad Terry doesn't offer this product with a subdued finish, more suitable for those of us with a less-than-youthful eye area. A younger person may enjoy this item.

BY TERRY Ombre Blackstar cream eyeshadows have a phenomenal formula. I have Misty Rock, and it is the only eyeshadow that I feel truly looks good and actually enhances my eyes. It makes your eyelids look like they're glowing from within, not like you've pasted on some harsh metallic paint. I love how the formula is buildable--I like using this in its sheerest state, so that some of my natural coloring shines through and makes it look more natural. The sparkle in here is truly elegant and looks far better than the sparkle in every other eyeshadow I've tried (including expensive Illamasqua ones). This eyeshadow melts in and blends very easily. It is extremely crease-resistant, even on top of my eye cream. I don't need a primer with this, which I love as I feel primer can make eyeshadow look cakey/dry. I have nothing bad to say about this; it's worth every penny. Only eyeshadow I'll ever use as everything else pales in comparison and just looks cheap to me now.

Relatively easy to use, blending with your finger or a dry brush. Smooth and silky application. Usually used over By Terry Neutral Eye Primer. Slight sparkle, but not glittery. Can layer for deeper intensity (daytime to nighttime use). It is expensive, but have used 6 months (several times a week) and I still have quite a lot left. This color (Misty Rock) is fabulous with my fair skin/dark hair and eyes. It seems to last all day and although I wouldn't say it was crease "proof," it is crease resistant.
