I have Sjögren's syndrome, one of the side effects is severely dry chapped, flaky lips. I constantly pick at my flaky lips. It's gross. What I love about this product is that it's thick (con for some)and very matte. I can put on a lot of it and no one can tell. I can even put it outside of my lip line and no one can tell - that's how matte it is. It doesn't cure the chapped, flakiness, but it makes it tolerable and keeps me from picking at it. It also relieves the dry feeling, but, again, it doesn't cure the problem - only makes it easier to live with.

I am a bit of a lip balm junkie, and usually have three or four different balms in rotation at any given time. I don't suffer terribly dry or chapped lips, but like to keep some kind of moisturizer on at all times (maybe that's why my lips are in pretty good condition!). I do have a habit of frequently rubbing my lips together, which requires a balm with a decent amount of slip. This is NOT a slippery balm. Rather, it is a thick, almost paste-like texture, with a more matte finish than you usually find in a balm.
Although it's not what I personally prefer for a lip balm, it is very moisturizing, has a pleasant, low-key orangey scent, and is a change of pace from standard petrolatum-based balms. This feels like it is really nourishing your lips. I keep the pot on my bedside table and apply it before I go to sleep, so it can do it's thing overnight and I won't be annoyed by not being able to rub my lips together. Although I wouldn't purchase it again, I think this different kind of balm will be very appealing to some folks. This is a great choice for men looking for a lip treatment with virtually no shine or scent.

I am not a big fan of lip balms/chapsticks, etc. I will use those products when my lips are chapped, when I absolutely have to. I am a BIG fan of lipstick, which doesn't look good on chapped/cracked lips. This product is slightly heavy, but not greasy, and a little goes a LONG way, which is good, because this is a splurge item. Pretty pricey, but it does what it says. I don't even need to use it daily. I usually put on my lips before going to bed so it moisturizes overnight. I live in Wisconsin, and chapped lips are a norm for winter. With this balm, no chapped lips, at all! Super soft and smooth lips. Smells like honey (of course), with a hint of orange. If you have the extra $$, I highly recommend trying it.

This product is designed to moisturize dry chapped lips
Pros: The ingredients are superior and authentic. Probably best used in really cold weather.
Cons: The texture literally felt like ear wax, doesn't spread easily and leaves a tacky finish.
Conclusion: If you don't mind a waxy feel then this product would work well especially in the winter if you have extremely dry skin.

This is the only thing I found that saved my lips in the winter time. I had purchased Clinique all about lips and the fresh advanced lip treatment around september 2014 and started using them religiously hoping that once the weather got cold and dry I could keep from getting dry chapped lips. It failed miserably. In February 2015 I purchased this after seeing a recommendation on a beauty blog. Saved me!! My lips seriously transformed. This is not ideal for day time as it is heavy. it's not meant for that. This is on my lips every night when I go to bed (and is still there when I wake up) and it is heavenly. I use EOS balm during the day and the ELF exfoliating lip treatment at night a couple times a week. I can't wait to put it to the test this winter and see how well it works at preventing the awful dry chapped lips I got this year. That will be the real test!

Picked up at a pharmacy in Tahiti while on vacation. It's the best I've ever used. I have chronic dry lips and use lip balm constantly. This is thick, seals and very soothing. Love it.

I have always had chapped lips. This product has drastically helped my lips. I apply every night and my lips are no longer peeling and cracked. I can even wear matte lipstick now!! Immediate results the first night I used this stuff. There is no smell and I am so glad I found this lip conditioner. Huge pot of balm so it will last a long time. Worth every penny.

I use this product mostly at night and it's still moisturizing when the morning comes around! I love to apply this before I apply my makeup as it soaks in nicely and creates a great canvas for matte lipstick so your lips stay hydrated. I will usually blot before applying lipstick and it goes on smoothly and doesn't cake. I've used at least 40 different kinds of lip balms and this easily makes my top 3!!!
