Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
This gel is hands down my most favorite styling product. I have strayed in the past, but have always found my way home to this gel. Why do I love it so? It is light weight, it defines so incredibly well, it moisturizes my hair like no other gel, my hair is left shiny and not dull looking, and in the summer it laughs at humidity. I also find that I can have 2nd, 3rd, 4th day hair which is almost impossible with other product lines. My hair loves it!!

Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
Awesome product! I have wavy-curly hair (super kinky under, and wavy-curly on top). It really brought out my curls and left my hair feeling soft, while still keeping it from being frizzy. I read a lot of reviews that said a little goes a long way and I would especially stress it for wavy haired girls as I do not need much at all. The one down side would be that because your hair stays nice and soft, if you play with it too much (which I end up doing...) it obviously gets frizzy easily. Leave it alone and you're fine. A bit of water can reactivate ingredients and an even smaller re-application of it later in the day will do the trick! Love it!

Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
I have porous, colored wavy, curly hair-2C. This works great in winter-(low dew points) and with leave-in for Spring, Fall (med. dews). In summer (high dews) it's needs a hard hold gel over it to keep frizz down. This encourages curl and gives a medium hold. I use almost every day!

Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
I tried several products before I noticed my sons hair. He offered his Kinky Curly custard to me and by far it is the best product I have ever used. I really like the way it curls my very thick tight curl hair pattern.

Apply to wet hair, use half of whet you think you need, any crunchiness can be scrunched out after it dries. Natural product won't dry out your hair like many gels do. I love it.

Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
I wanted to try and see how my hair naturally worked: no blow drying or flat ironing. I saw someone's hair and it was so cute, and I asked her what she used. She told me to wash my hair, condition it, then put in the Knot Today for a leave in conditioner, then use the curling custard, which I put in my hair in sections. She also told me to stick with it for awhile as my curl pattern would come in after a few days/weeks. The first day I wanted to wear a hat!!! I cut hair to about 2 inches so I wouldn't be tempted to put it in a ponytail. But by the second day, my curls began to get more defined. I did the wash and go for about two weeks; now I'm doing twist outs, which last for the week. The hold is not too hard, where my hair is crunchy, and feels soft to the touch.

Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
In the beginning, I wasn't crazy about Kinky-Curly products. I thought the leave-in was lackluster and the custard didn't blend well with other products. The problem is that I didn't use the Kinky-Curly products together as a system.
Now, after cleansing and detangling, I apply the Knot Today leave-in, then finger comb small blobs of this custard through small sections of hair starting in the back.
This custard performs like a styling gel, but with the all-natural ingredients. Actually, I think it performs better than a gel because it helps keep my hair detangled and keep my tiny curls clumped.
Plus, my hair has medium to high porosity...that means medium to high shrinkage! This product helps to alleviate some of that shrinkage while leaving my tiny curls nice and shiny!
The hold is pretty firm, but pliable. I usually emulsify a little shea butter or oil in my hands and squeeze out the crunch on day two. On day three, I wash my hair again...which is not a problem, because a little bit of this custard goes a long way.

Comments about Kinky-Curly Curling Custard, 16 oz:
I love KCCC for my kinky curly hair. A little goes a long way, so on the first encounter, use very little to gauge what is best for your hair. I do not experience any crunch since I always use coconut oil on my hair first. The leave-in conditioners I use are the Knot Today & Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner. After applying coconut oil, Knot Today & KCCC, my curls are always soft & plump!
