I like the Kinky-Curly system. The ingredient list is short and hasn't changed for as long as I've know about the products. Come Clean has a bad reputation for being drying, but it is a clarifying product. It doesn't contain petrochemicals or other questionable ingredients that supposedly condition hair. When I want my hair and scalp clean, I want it clean. Otherwise, I would just rinse with water and pile more conditioner on it.
I use this when my hair feels dry and my other products don't seem to be working. It removes the build-up and allows my hair to absorb hair products and feel good again. My hair is chronically dry; so, I don't use shampoo often. However, when I do use shampoo, this is the one I use.

Love Kinky Curly's custard and conditioner but this shampoo is terrible. It is just too harsh, it completely dries my hair out, it feels like straw after I use it.

I was hoping this was going to work but it does not!! It don't clean or take out the gunk out of my hair at all and I had rewash it while in shower with a shampoo that actually works! Disappointed as I paid too much for this stuff!!

I've tried a lot of sulfate-free shampoos and none of them give me the lather that I prefer. For being a sulfate-free shampoo this stuff lathers great!
