This item has an overwhelming smell of laundry detergent, did not smell like lavender. I had to move the box outside as soon as it arrived without even opening it. I would recommend smelling it in a store to see if you like it before buying it instead of ordering it online.

I purchased these to put on the shelves of a linen closet, wanting a light lavender scent on towels, etc. The shelves are wood. The scent was way too strong and permeated everything. I only left them in for a couple days before removing them and throwing them away, as we were all sneezing and getting watery eyes from the scent which permeated most of our rather large home. It took some vigorous cleaning of the shelves and the items on them to get the scent to a point it wasn't bothersome to everyone.
