This a strong, well designed file which also folds and compact for travel. Going to order two more for Christmas stocking stuffers. Like the previous reviewer said, it does have two sides....coarser on one side and smoother on the other side (although it would be nice if the sides were two different color shades). Really great that I can also use the straight edge of the file to smooth out the cuticles. Another great feature (which I just discovered) is that there is a groove on the top of the file which allows you to gently smooth out snags on the inside and outside tips of your nails. This feature is wonderful to square off nail tips precisely....just be careful because it can thin the tips of your natural nail too. I ALWAYS keep it handy when relaxing watching TV. Love it, love it, love it!

I needed a good ceramic nail file and had been disappointed with the normal chain store ones available. I love the fact this folds into a compact size and easily fits into the smallest of my bags. The file has a smooth and coarse side which works well for my nails. I have normal not artificial fingernails, and a little thicker toenails. My only drawback on this product is I do need an additional file just to clean the dirt out!
