After more than 20 years in the industry, this is easily the worst appliance I've ever tried. At first, I thought the item I received may have been faulty, but after receiving the exchange I realized it had a design error. The hot plates do not fully meet, causing the hair to slip out, thus accomplishing nothing. Its a great idea and would be a wonderful product...if it worked. Keeping in mind the high price point, makes this item additionally horrible. I wish I could say it was "stylist error", but I've been a stylist for a long time and its impossible to make something that just doesn't work, work. I'm thoroughly disappointed with this iron. Don't waste your money.

I own this Duo Curl Two Sided Professional Straightening & Curling Iron and let me tell you, this baby works! I have very thick coarse curly hair and literally have to straighten it every morning for work. The curly cue hairstyle doesn't look right on me, especially at my age. I started using this iron immediately after it arrived to my home just to check it out. I was very pleased to see that it actually straightened my think curly hair and it didn't take long at all. I LOVE this product!
