I love this powder. This is the third time I have purchased it. It makes my skin feel so silky and stay shine-free. I have very fair skin and it feels great and blends beautifully without adding a white cast, though it might on darker skin tones. I love it. I do wish Tarte would come up with a better container, though. It can be tough and messy to get the product out of the little holes in the "strainer" thing.

Amazing!
In summer my face gets so oily and shiny and I have issues of my foundation transferring after I touch my face (onto paper, my phone, etc.) I'm also allergic to many ingredients in products (most notably parabens) so I can't use most cosmetics.
After watching some YouTube videos and reading reviews I've realized that in addition to using a good oil control primer (I use BareMinerals Prime Time Oil Control Foundation Primer) that this product is a Godsend to control both my oily/shiny face and foundation transfer issues! You don't need a lot, but dusting this on your face sets your makeup in place. Now I can touch my face then touch white paper and see no transfer. It controls my oil ALL DAY so even by evening in the humid summer heat I still look matte. It also makes my foundation last longer so my skin looks even all day as well. I sometimes use it alone on days when I don't wear make-up. Overall, great buy. Love Tarte for using high quality ingredients. It's one of the only brands where every single product is allergen-free for me. I've had no issues of allergic reactions with this.
Side note: I am a woman of color and was suspicious that putting a white powder on my face wouldn't make me look like I'm wearing a mask. This powder is super fine so it doesn't go on cakey, but smooth and velvety and is truly translucent.

I was really excited to get this product, many of my friends/family use Tarte products and love them. However, after I used this finishing powder several times, I was not pleased. I have oily, acne prone skin, and I thought this would help control my "oilyness" but it didn't. I would become oily after an hour or two. It feels nice on the skin but I won't get this product again. The container is awful too. You really have to work to get the powder out of this itty bitty hole.

I love this product! It really mattifies and gives my skin a softer appearance. When first applied, I think it does have a slightly chalky appearance, but after waiting a few minutes for it to "set" the chalkiness is gone. I also break out easily and this does not break me out at all. One jar has lasted a year with regular use.
