Beyond Matte® is carefully named because it is unlike any matifying powder created before. Based on a proprietary technology, Beyond Matte® not only eliminates shine for hours, it also absorbs oil, lessens transference, makes skin look smoother, refines pores, and increases the water resistancy of our minerals. Always on the lookout for environmentally sound ways to enhance product performance, Jane has included soothing jojoba seed oil into this formulation so skin appears touchably radiant as well as shine-free. For a High Definition-proof complexion that's always ready for its close-up, focus on Beyond Matte®. An HD matifying powder, available in four shades: Translucent - Use on any skin. Lilac - Use to brighten sallow tones. Peach - Use to warm up pale skin. Dark - Use on ethnic skins or as a bronzer

Comments about Jane Iredale Beyond Matte® Refill, Translucent, 1 ea:
I've been using Jane Iredale Pure Matte Finish Powder for years, and thought I would try this new similar product. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Instead of Beyond Matte, it should be called Beyond Translucent, because it is completely invisible. It does nothing. And it has a weird odor.

Comments about Jane Iredale Beyond Matte® Refill, Translucent, 1 ea:
Jane Iredale Translucent Beyond Matte is my new favorite powder for touch-ups during the day. I have combination skin, and apply Zuzu Luxe liquid foundation and matching powder in the morning. I apply JI Beyond Matte as needed to control oil, sweeping it on maybe 3-4 times a day, with a brush that I carry in my purse. I also use blot sheets, about once a day. For dry skin types, this would be too matte; face would look too powdery and unnatural. I also didn't like it over JI pressed powder foundation - my face tended to look chalky. But for combination skin, used over liquid foundation, it's a godsend. I don't like Beyond Matte as a finishing powder alone, but absolutely love it for touch-ups on my T-zone and occasionally on my cheeks as well once my finishing powder starts to wear off. This would probably work well in conjunction with a liquid foundation and the JI Pure Matte powder, which is very nice for finishing but not as good at controlling oil. I keep my Beyond Matte refill in the graphite compact to distinguish it from my gold JI compacts; it also looks pretty in my purse.
