I have Very Oily eyelids.None of the products that I tried in the past (i.e., concealer, eye base, eyeshadow) kept the oiliness at bay. I ordered this product based on reviews here and other sites. It is very effective and long lasting. The key is to apply a small amount on the lids. I would wait until it dries before applying an eyeshadow.The only con is that it seems expensive for the amount of product that you receive, especially if you are a daily user.

I received this as a gift with purchase. I have tried it twice. It wears off after afew hours. I had these clumps on my eyelids and it was the eye shadow which had clumped up into these wads of shadow, it was so odd. I use another brand which is much better.

My eyelids are oily and most primers and eye shadows simply melt off. Unfortunately, NARS eye shadow base is no exception. If you have nice normal eyelids, it may work well.

If you don't wear contacts, I am sure this is a great product. If you do wear contacts, try a different brand - maybe one that has a bit of powder to it so it doesn't "slip" so much. My eyeshadow looks great even 8 hours after using this primer BUT I can't see it because my soft contacts have acquired a vaseline-like smear (even though I try to keep the primer off my lash line) that does not come off even after cleaning my contact lenses.

This eyelid primer goes on smoothly and helps with my crepey lids. It keeps my eyeshadow in place all day with no creasing. I like that the Nars primer has no color, unlike the Laura Mercier, Tarte, etc... It's also great for smoothing my eyebrows!

I'd never used an eyelid primer before, and I love wearing eyeshadows but by lunchtime I would look in the mirror and my eyeshadow would already have a crease in it. I heard about this primer on YouTube and took a chance because this is a bit pricey for such a small tube but this has worked miracles on me! I've gone 10 hours without a crease on my lids and probably could last longer. I am now having so much fun with eyeshadows and I just simply love love love this primer.

One of the best eye lid bases/primers and Ive tried them all. I would rate this the second best next to Urban Decay. This one is more moisturizing and silky but the Urban Decay holds eye color a little better.
