I like the natural-ness of tarte problems and LOVE their cheek stains. I purchased this to keep my parched lips moist during my stay in Afghanistan. I was looking for a natural looking flush w/moisture on my lips. Instead (with Joy/Peach color) I got a bright coral-y peach that looks inappropriate on my NC42 skin. It would be fine for after work, or summer beach, but is just too bright for my liking. That said, its supposed to be a stain, and I found the color doesn't stain the lips - it lasts as long as the moisturizing gloss look does. The finish is a moist looking, glossy chapstick like finish. Overall, i like the finish & need the moisture, so I will try one more shade - but if the next shade doesn't REALLY moisturize, I'll determine its just not worth the cost. Neutrogena has a colored chapstick with SPF that I'll use instead & for way less.

I have several of these. I thought they would be worth the invesemt but the cap has broken on all of them so I can't take them anywhere because they make a huge mess. It's a terrible design for an otherwise great lip product

I bought this shade because a couple of reviews said it was red. The color shown online appeared a bit orange, but I love orange lipstick so that was not a turn-off. It is absolutely not either color. It is a hot pink. It might work on someone with more yellow undertones but it will clash with your skin if you have pink undertones. It also does not go on evenly, but that would not be a deal-breaker for me. It does feel pretty nice/balmy. The color is just too clownish for me :(

Based on the color sample - the little color squiggle- I was expecting this to be more of a coral color, but it is RED, like the color of the container. That said, I love it! I am not one to slather on anything red, red, but this is sheer enough that it is not overwhelming. I think it would work for a variety of skin tones.

I thought this may be lighter since it is a stain rather than a lipstick, but it is pretty true to color. It is darker than I usually use, but it still works for me. I will buy more of these.

I bought a couple of these and was initially pleased with the results. They have the consistency of a lip balm and the coverage is similar to a sheer lipstick. The colors are fun for social settings but still subdued enough for daytime use. I did experience a little flaking where my lips were already dry upon application of the product, but it does deliver on its moisturizing promise. It's a nice, more natural-looking alternative to lipstick or gloss.
My one major disappointment with these lip stains was the packaging. It's a twist-up tube and the product has a unique soft-and-wet-yet-crumbly consistency. I'm sure I'm partially at fault for leaving one in my jacket pocket where it got a little warm, but BOTH of them broke off the tube upon applying them to my lips when I was halfway through them. Maybe this should be in a pot instead, but I'll think twice before I buy another one.

I went on vacation in Nicaragua and sunburned my lips really really bad.....they were blistered and hurt like you wouldn't believe. After I got home and used this product, they started getting better and better. I love it.
