I love the fact that this product does not have parabens! Although the ingredients are different, it smells very similar to Yonka's Alpha Complex. They also feel the same, kinda sticky. But with Arcona Brightening Drops, you actually don't have to remove it with water, you just leave it on. This product does what it says, it exfoliates the skin, therefore lightening the skin. I would definitely follow the instructions and use it 1-2x/week. If you do more than that, you can really see the skin look grainy because it's exfoliating and when you apply make up, it is a bit more obvious. But for people who don't apply make up, it should be fine as long as they wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun.

The product generally seems to work slowly. You won't see the spots fade away completely but you'll notice a brighter complexion as a whole after a few weeks.
But then again I'm also using the Arcona Brightening Gommage. Been using it months before this Brightening Drops. And the Gommage does work wonder. You'll began to notice results right away.
The pump, however, is horrible and difficult to control. It's very hard to dispense and when it finally does, it dispenses wayyy too much. So I feel like it's a waste of product.

I was pleased with this product for having a slow yet noticeable impact on lightening my spots which come from too much sun and is aggravated by medication use.
Yet after I used only about half the bottle it began to change colors and oxidize and seem useless. So I had to throw it away- maybe they need to come up with better packaging to fix this

This product burns and stings like none other. It instantly makes my skin red and it makes that skin peel off everyday I use it. I am going to call Arcona and ask about this issue. I have used much more gentle products that have easily lightened my skin in the past, but it has been so many years, I do not recall the products. I would NOT recommend this product AT ALL, unless I hated that person. Then I MIGHT consider it. :P

I too read the reviews thinking this product would go above and beyond. I also looked at the review saying I should not buy this product, but I thought it was just an exception. Boy was I wrong.

I have some scarring from adult acne that I was hoping this product would help with, but I've used one bottle and it hasn't had any effect at all. I usually like Arcona products, but this one just didn't do anything for me.

Following the directions, I used the product daily. Until the area of the spot got dry and flaky. I skipped a few days and then resumed an every-other-day routine.

I applied this to my dark spots twice a day until I used the entire bottle. I saw absolutely no difference in my age/sun spots. This is an over price ineffective item

Based on the reviews and all the other Arcona products I use, I thought this product was going to be my answer.....I have been using it for two weeks and haven't seen a difference. If anything, the one age spot on my face looks like it's gotten darker. The only thing I can think of is that maybe instead of following the directions where it says to make it the last step, I should follow what others are doing and use it after the toner and before the moisturizer......We'll see.....

I have been using this product for several weeks now, and have noticed a definite lightening of my freckles and improved overall skin tone. I use the gel after washing in the evening and let it sit for a few minutes before applying moisturizer. It has a slightly sticky consistency, but is not unpleasant or difficult to apply. If I use the serum after exfoliating, I do notice a very slight stinging sensation. I have used a similar product in the past, which was twice the cost of Arcona's lightening serum per ounce, yet definitely did not provide such positive results so quickly. I will reorder this product again. If you remember to use a strong sunscreen with any sun exposure, you should see a definite improvement in skin tone with Arcona Lightening Drops. It does work.

I have Asian skin that is prone to hyperpigmentation, so I bought this get rid of dark spots that past acne breakouts have left behind. I've been using it twice a day (after toner, before moisturizer) for about a month, and it's made a huge difference! The fainter dark spots are completely gone, and the darker ones have faded noticeably. The only con I can think of is that it has a faint medicine-y scent, but that is much better than added fragrances, in my opinion. This serum really does what it says it will, and although it isn't an instant fix, you will see a big improvement in just a few weeks!
