Z Pallette has a big following as it is a much more affordable option than Mac pro pallettes. And you can see they've gone after the MAC market by using the same sized pans etc. Fair play to them because I think this is a useful service for those of us who like MAC shadows, but have other products as well. It is also nice if you want to pull shadows out of existing palettes or pot loose shadows. Great that the palette came with an instructional card on how to loosen pans from pots/pallettes. I bought the Z pallette for organizing my mess of loose shadows. And it works OK for that. Pallette itself is really basic cardboard, with a clear plastic window (handy to see what's inside if you have a lot of pallettes), secure magnetic closure and magnetic back. It comes with magnetic stickers which work better with circular pans than square, but I made them work with the square. Comparing this to the Inglot freedom system, this is $4 more and made of cardboard, where Inglot is all hard plastic and a vastly more secure closure and magnetic back. I wouldn't want to travel with z pallette because I don't think it's really secure enough. There are no slots for the pans and unless you have them crammed in there, I think things could move around alot more. This is good for the flexibility of the pallette (you can use round or square or both or use big pans or whatever), but not so good for taking your makeup out of your bathroom. This is probably the only z-pallette I'll ever buy, since I only had 10 loose shadows to press and I will probably never buy loose shadows again since they are a pain.

These Z-Palettes are great. I always thought I would never like having all my shadows in one spot as I am not usually a palette person. Last fall I made the switch and ordered both a Pro size and small Z-Palette and I am incredibly happy. The small palette holds my most used shadows and I love how small it is and how easy it would be to travel with. It can hold up to 9 round MAC type shadows, but I have about 12 shadows of mostly rectangle shape. Seriously great products and I would high recommend making the switch. I save so much space!

This is a great idea for all the various shadows we all collect. After receiving this I ordered one in the larger size also. The small size would be great to put in your handbag but if you want to put all your shadows in one container the larger size is what you would want. It is still very portable and could be carried daily if desired.

This is perfect for my eyeshadows. I can put both mac and stila shadows in one palette. I also love the clear cover to see what shadows are in the case. I plan on buying the bigger case for my mac blushes.
