I am shocked anyone would call this thing flimsy--it is far from it and the magnets are STRONG. It's a great idea that has been a long time in coming. I have about 6 of these in various sizes and find them incredibly convenient and useful. There is no substitute for being able to see through the cover to find your color or product "at a glance"...LOVE mine! Very innovative and a much needed product in the marketplace. (Also, the fact the lid folds under itself is fantastic for eliminating clutter on a work surface. This is one less obvious feature that really makes it practical in real life situations!)

After around a year of use a thin layer of plastic started peeling off the black cardboard material. I never traveled with, or kept the palettes in a high humidity area such as a bathroom. When I contacted the manufacturer they seemed aware that this was an issue and the best they could do was to offer me a 20% discount and encouraged me to repurchase more palettes. Needless to say I wish I never depotted all my eyeshadows to have them in a palette that didn't end up lasting.

I loved it until the plastic starting peeling off the palette a year after purchase. Like another reviewer said, I never traveled with or it kept it in a humid place - was always stored in a drawer.

I love my Z-palettes, they are so versatile. I use it mostly for eyeshadow, blush, and sometimes powder foundation. CHANEL powder foundation comes out easily and I just stick a sticker magnet and voila - portable palette for the face!
Get the PRO version if you want a deeper well that will hold deeper makeup containers such as NARS blush.

I love this product. I purchased the size Large in Black. They are sleek, sturdy and have a strong magnetic closure. And the bonus metal adhesive tin circles are great too for those stubborn depotted pans that won't stick!
My only minor complaint is that I wish it was a tad bit deeper (NOT in height or Length, but in depth) so that it would hold 28 MAC size shadows instead of 27-- A 28th just won't fit! All in all, a great product. I just wish they weren't quite so expensive.

I ordered the z palette to reduce my makeup foot print when I travel. They are great to travel with, they have really strong magnets unlike the mac palettes and they are more crush resistant too.

I am so happy I purchased these. I picked up five of them and I did not have problems with the quality of any of them. The magnetic closure was strong, as well as the bottom magnet that holds the pans in place. The metal stickers are a good quality and stick easily to both the products and the palette. I was able to depot tons of eyeshadows and blushes from bulky packaging and make my own palette using the z-palette. These are totally worth it and I will be purchasing more!

OMG....I was so disappointed in this Z palette...The magnetic is so weak ...can't hold my blushes from Nars and Mac...I'm gonna return it...also the cardboard is not so nice at all..

Beware! Lid won't close after putting product into palette. I bought 2 of these palettes for my NYX single eye shadows and spent over an hour depotting my shadows. I purchased a roll of magnetic tape at a craft store, which isn't that thick. After putting magnets on back of the pots, the lid of the palette won't close completely. The palette is too shallow to hold the shadows. If I don't use the magnets on the back of the pots, the lid will close, of course, then they slide around and the shadow breaks up. This sounded like a great idea, but for me, it was a huge waste of money and time. I am very disappointed. I also thought this would travel well, but it won't -- it's cardboard and not sturdy.

Finally decided to depot my makeup after all these years. The Z palette is very very sturdy, when I opened the package I had to double check it was made of cardboard! My Z Palettes contain my depotted MAC, NARS, Bobbi Brown & Chanel shadows & blushes. I keep my Z Palettes in my bathroom. I'm not messy with water so I have no worries about them becoming warped from being in the bathroom. I do not use the Z Palette for travel, I do not feel it is sturdy enough for travel. I use my Unii Palettes for travel.
