After my Shu Uemura eyelash curler met an untimely death underneath my foot (lol), I decided to try this brand. I liked the idea of having free pads for the life of the curler as opposed to having to buy a new one after the pads wear out. Found it just as easy to use as the SE and I'm saving the environment at the same time. It's a win win!

I never understood all the hype with eyelash curlers. I had my revlon one, but rarely used it, because it didn't really make a difference. One day, I decided to buy a better curler (this one) to see if maybe there was something I was missing out on. I was curious by the fact that this one did not have much of a "spring" to it. Wow Wow Wow! It instantly gave me doll eyes! I finally understood why everybody raved about these so much! I am in love with this thing, I never skip this step when doing my makeup! I had tried ELF and Revlon ones, and as much as I don't like to spend money on "brand names", I gotta say, this one is worth it!! Great Buy, I'm sticking with Japonesque for the long run! :)

I have deep-set, round eyes and this is the best curler for my eye shape. It never pinches and curls every lash. I've had this for a year and just recently had to replace the pad. PLUS - Japonesque sends you the refill pad for FREE.

Compared to Shu umera (or Maybelline, for that matter), the Japonesque curler doesn't even rank. Awkward to use and the shape of the curler doesn't conform to the natural shape of eye. Very dissappointing.
